‘Successful aesthetic and acoustic integration of new offices in historic 19th-century textile factory ’
Due to continuous growth of this insurance brokerage firm, it was decided in 2021 to convert a historic building in Oudenaarde into a modern and pleasant office building for its more than 30 employees.
The location were old offices of a former textile mill Saffre Frères in Oudenaarde, dating from the end of the 19th century. The original industrial look with its two-storey brick façade and concrete inner skeleton was retained.
From the outset, the client and architect set great store by the best acoustic comfort for the office function of this reconversion. At the same time, the high-quality acoustic solution also had to fit in with a warm and homely atmosphere. An additional challenge was that ceiling panels could not be corrected by retaining the concrete vaults and industrial look.
In the end, Triplaco's expertise was called upon to help determine the concept. From the many acoustic solutions Triplaco offered, the architect and client opted for the integration of grooved panels and micro-perforated panels throughout the interior.
Cooperation between manufacturer Triplaco, wall and furniture installers Vossaert Interior and Van Holder and architects DnA van Oudernaarde went very smoothly, enabling the office to be put into use on the planned date in 2022. Builder and architect were delighted with the g
